The main purpose of the tour is to show you why our wonderful island is known as 'Spice Island'. You will discover new flavours and taste unusual fruits. Welcome to flavourful Zanzibar!
Upon arriving in Zanzibar, you'll notice a slight aroma in the air: it is the aroma of spices that navigators of antiquity smelled even before they reached its shores.
Arab traders from the 8th century sailed to Zanzibar in search of these precious spices, and then so did the Portuguese, the Turks and the British.
Our tour begins with a walk through the greenery of the island's countryside, sampling a variety of spices and fruits, tempting seasonal tropical fruits.
We will taste fruits such as jackfruit, pineapple, green banana, coconut juice, durian, lollipop apple, lychee, susop etc.
Spices such as cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric, vanilla and nutmeg are as exotic as they are aromatic.
All these products and many others are still part of the commercial heart of Zanzibar.
For travellers a visit to the spice plantations means a complete experience of aromas, colours and flavours that leave no one indifferent!
Included: tour guide, transfer, spice and fruit tasting.
Contraindications: allergies to spices or fruit.
